This standard applies to Cathodic Protection for the Norwegian petroleum industry and has been widely adopted for other regions and marine applications.
For electrical continuity the requirement is that all parts shall have a welded or brazed connection to an anode with a resistance less than 0.10 ohm. If a copper cable is used the cross sectional area of the copper must have a minimum cross sectional area of 16 sq mm and must be brazed or silver soldered onto a stainless steel contact shoe.
We are using a computer controlled induction heating machine to ensure precise control of the brazing process so that all our connections are consistently fully brazed.
